Wine road "In the heart of Zagorje"

One day excursion

Each of Zagorje’s 1,300 registered winemakers thinks his wine is the best.

We will grant them that, however in a single day it is only possible to visit two hilltop establishments and one inn, where one can experience the friendly atmosphere and hospitality whilst tasting fine wines and enjoying exquisite traditional cuisine.

What to drink while in Zagorje:

Sokol – authentic species
Sivi Burgunday (Pinot Gris)
Graševina or Welschriesling
Rhine Riesling
Predicate wines

What to eat while in Zagorje:

Zagorska juha (Zagorska Soup)
Turkey with mlinci (local type of pastry)
Štrukli (speciality of the region – boiled or baked pastry with cottage cheese)
