One day excursion
Međimurje is a recognizable wine-growing paradise in northwestern Croatia, where wine cultivation started in the ancient times.
The Roman travel-writer Plinius admired wines from Stridona, modern-day Štrigova, where recurrently awarded, predominantly white wines, such as Furmint, Kraljevina, Welschriesling, Yellow Muscat, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, and Gewurztraminer are on offer.
